Indian Head Massage, also known as Shiro-Abhyanga, is an ancient Ayurvedic healing treatment that has been practiced in India for thousands of years. It is a very relaxing treatment that is great for relieving stress and tension and also improves the condition of the hair and scalp. It works on the energy of the seven chakras to encourage healing and bring the body back into balance. It involves massaging points on the upper back, shoulders, upper arms, neck, scalp, and face. This course also includes the Ayurvedic healing techniques of Marma point facial massage and Shirodhara. This course is suitable for anyone with an interest in Indian Head Massage. Non-therapists will receive a non-practitioner certificate in Indian Head Massage. If you wish to practice on the general public you will need to be qualified in Anatomy and Physiology, First Aid, and Practicioners Workshop. If you have these qualifications and wish to receive a practitioner certificate in Indian Head Massage, you will need to complete three case studies,s which involves giving one person a series of three treatments.

Case Study Requirement
Following the course, students must complete one case study, consisting of:

Providing three one-hour treatments to one person
Who Can Take This Course?
ā No prior experience is required! This course is open to everyone, including therapists and non-therapists.
To professionally practice Indian Head Massage on the general public, non-therapists will need:
ā A qualification in Anatomy & PhysiologyĀ
ā The Practitioners Day Workshop
ā First Aid Certificate

š Non-therapists will receive a non-professional “Introduction to Indian Head Massage” certificate.
š This certificate can be upgraded to a professional certification (free of charge) once the student completes an accredited Massage or Anatomy & Physiology qualification.
Included in the day: 2 course vegetarian Lunch, refreshments, your manual and a free complementary Indain Head massage Oil blend Neroli, Basil, and rose geramuim, blended here at the Estuay
