Hybrid Training (80 Hours)
Program Overview:
This 80-hour certified and accredited training course is designed for yoga teachers, wellness practitioners, and individuals seeking to deepen their understanding of breathwork, trauma-informed somatic therapy, and nervous system regulation. The program integrates practical skills for emotional release, self-regulation, and healing physical and mental health issues. Through a combination of in-person training, online sessions, case studies, and theoretical exams, participants will gain the tools and knowledge to support themselves and others in their healing journey.

Course Structure:

  • In-Person Training: 2 full days of intensive experiential learning.
  • Online Modules: 2 evenings of live, interactive online sessions.
  • Follow-Up Support: Ongoing mentorship and group support.
  • Assignments: Case studies, practice sessions, and a theory exam.

Module Breakdown:

Module 1: Introduction to Trauma-Informed Somatic Therapy (10 hours)

  • Understanding trauma and its impact on the body and mind.
  • The principles of trauma-informed care and somatic therapy.
  • Integrating trauma-informed practices into breathwork.
  • Introduction to the nervous system and its role in trauma and healing.
  • Cultivating self-awareness and self-compassion as practitioners.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Participants will develop an understanding of how trauma manifests in the body and mind.
  • Learn how to create a safe, supportive, and healing environment for clients.

Module 2: Breathwork for Emotional Release (15 hours)

  • The physiological and psychological effects of different breathing techniques.
  • Deep dive into conscious connected breathing, circular breathing, and other emotional release techniques.
  • Breathwork as a tool for emotional regulation and release.
  • Practices for supporting clients in safely accessing and releasing stored emotions.
  • The relationship between breath and the nervous system: stress reduction and relaxation.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Gain proficiency in different breathwork techniques for emotional release.
  • Develop skills to help clients navigate and process emotional blockages using breathwork.

Module 3: Nervous System Regulation and Healing (10 hours)

  • Understanding the autonomic nervous system: sympathetic and parasympathetic states.
  • Tools for resetting the nervous system through breath and movement.
  • Techniques for grounding, centering, and returning to balance.
  • Integration of somatic awareness practices into breathwork for nervous system regulation.
  • Self-care tools for practitioners to maintain balance during emotionally intense sessions.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Learn practical techniques for calming and regulating the nervous system.
  • Develop a toolkit for practitioners to help clients manage stress, anxiety, and trauma responses.

Module 4: Somatic Therapy Processes and Body-Based Healing (10 hours)

  • Working with the body to release trauma and stored emotions.
  • The importance of mindful movement and sensation awareness in trauma healing.
  • Techniques for guiding clients through somatic experiences and body awareness exercises.
  • Practical strategies for integrating somatic touch, movement, and verbal cues in a therapeutic setting.
  • Creating a safe container for somatic experiences and emotional release.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Understand the power of the body in trauma healing and emotional release.
  • Develop skills in guiding clients through body-based healing processes.

Module 5: Trauma-Informed Practice for Mental Health (10 hours)

  • Understanding the intersection of mental health, trauma, and emotional release.
  • Trauma-informed practices for addressing anxiety, depression, PTSD, and other mental health challenges.
  • Using breathwork and somatic practices to support mental health recovery.
  • Ethical considerations and boundaries when working with individuals with mental health diagnoses.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Learn how to integrate trauma-informed breathwork and somatic therapy into mental health support.
  • Develop competence in working with clients who have mental health challenges in a safe, supportive way.

Module 6: Integration and Case Studies (15 hours)

  • Supervised practice and application of breathwork and somatic therapy techniques.
  • Participants will work with case studies of clients with various emotional and physical issues.
  • Detailed review and analysis of case studies, identifying appropriate techniques and interventions.
  • Development of treatment plans for clients using breathwork and somatic therapy.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Apply learned techniques in real-world scenarios through case studies.
  • Build confidence in creating individualized therapeutic plans for clients.

Module 7: Exam and Certification (10 hours)

  • Theory exam covering course materials, techniques, and ethical practices.

Certification Requirements:

  • Completion of 80 hours of training.
  • Passing grade on theory exam.
  • Submission of completed case studies.
  • Active participation in online and in-person modules.

Upon successful completion, participants will receive a certification in Level 2 Breathwork for Emotional Release & Trauma-Informed Somatic Therapy, accredited by Yoga Alliance Professionals.

Booking Confirmation:

  • All bookings are subject to availability and confirmed once full payment is received.

Payment:

  • Payments can be made via credit card, bank transfer, or other approved methods. A confirmation receipt will be sent upon payment.

Cancellation Policy:

  • Cancellations made more than 30 days before the event will receive a full refund.
  • Cancellations made 15-30 days before the event will receive a 50% refund.
  • No refunds for cancellations made within 14 days of the event.
  • No refunds on deposits made for trainings.

Changes and Modifications:

  • Requests to modify bookings must be made in writing and are subject to availability.
  • Changes made within 14 days of the event may incur additional fees.

My wife and I went for the one day Sunday retreat with the yoga session followed by a walk and then the saunas and cold plunge experience. We had a beautiful lunch (sourced locally from providers in Ennis) and finished the day with a sound bath. We came away feeling completely relaxed and revitalized. I have been to Rosie’s retreats on numerous occasions. Every time I leave here I feel 100 times better than when I arrived. There is something very healing and soothing about the Shannon estuary retreat. A lot of work and thought is put into every event and there is a huge variety toe events to choose from. I did the Wim Hof Method Retreat here. From the warm welcome and the beautiful surroundings this place should be high on everyone's list.
The retreat was really special. The breath work and ice bath was amazing. Josef, the course instructor was fantastic. I was in a group of 5 strangers and we instantly connected. We shared stories openly about our lives. It was truly a wholesome and nurturing experience .
The owners Micheál & Rosie go above and beyond to make your time with them unique, fun and memorable.
The lunch was out of this world! Delicious tapas, salad, soup, breads and dessert!! I'll be back!! ❤️

I had the most fabulous day at the Shannon Estuary Hike & Yoga retreat. I went to the retreat alone but the wonderful energy from both the place itself and Rosie put me at ease straight away. From the first moment I arrived I felt safe to share and was blown away by how beautiful the location is. It was wonderful to spend the day with like-minded people. I really enjoyed the mindful walk and the dip in the secret waterfall was like something out of a movie. The cacao was just the best thing I’ve ever tasted! When we got back the outdoor area - the sauna, hot tub and plunge pool was so luxurious and perfect after the walk to relax. The food was delicious, healthy and locally sourced. Even with all my food allergies I was still catered for. The day ended with a beautiful relaxation yoga and sound bath which was just perfect. I floated home, so relaxed and I can’t wait for my next retreat there. I’ll be back again very soon.
